Two young boys are kidnapped in a border town in southern Nepal. Investigator Pooja is sent from Kathmandu to solve the case, but upon her arrival, the city is simmering with political unrest and violent protests.

Pooja seeks help from Mamata, a local policewoman belonging to the Madhesi ethnic group. The two women join forces and must fight against a system marked by misogyny and racism. This is an intense thriller set during the real demonstrations that took place in southern Nepal in 2015.

The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2024.
